The Gymnastics Federation of India (GFI) pioneer of Gymnastics in India came in existence on 17th February 1951 with the main aims to encourage, promote, control, and popularize the competitive Gymnastics in the Union of India and had its first meeting at National Sports Club Worli Mumbai.
